How awesome is it when two people from across the world find each other and fall in love. A love like this is even more special since a couple has to overcome a lot of struggles to make things work. I can speak out of my own experience actually. The hassle of immigration, inburgering, the culture differences etcetera, it's not easy. Therefor the wedding of Susan and Ben was even more special for me since I can relate with them so much. To make this day even more special, my son Casper went with me to help assist with lighting and photographing this day. Check out the Highlight Slideshow of this beautiful day with amazing people!

Busy, hectic, fun and a little crazy. That's how I would describe the getting ready this morning, ideal for amazing moments and capturing the interaction between everyone present. It's not always picture perfect, it can be messy, it can get loud, and that is amazing! I love the photojournalistic approach, it makes the realness of a weddingday come forward. Right after the first look was planned in the staircase of the beautiful castle. The bride Susan came down the stairs with some help of her father and the last few steps towards her future husband was done by herself. So much emotion from everyone, especially the groom.

After the emotional first look, it was time for the couple shoot with the bride and groom. In the surrounding forrest we got some great shots before it started to rain and we had to run back. Fortunately we didn't get to wet before the start of the ceremony. In the slideshow There are many more shots, here are just a few favorites.

As mentioned above, we luckilly didn't get to wet during the photoshoot and after freshing up we could go straight to the castle wedding ceremony. The groom was waiting for his bride to make her entrance and for her to grab his arm and to walk down the isle together, they were radiant!! Two good friends led the wedding ceremony, this led to some great stories. The most beautiful moment of the ceremony was ofcourse the vows for each other. True loving words and the emotion that comes with it!

Wedding reception in The Hague

The wedding reception is always the time where everybody stars to relax, jokes come out, funny stories from the past and ofcourse time for some great speeches. Today the bride and groom also had some fun picture moments in mind with the wedding party. The bride and groom requested a shot each with the bridesmaids and the best men in the bar. We had so must fun shooting this!! The couple opened the party with an amazing first dance after wich the party lit up and it looked like everyone on the dancefloor were amazing dancers! To finish the evening in style we did a creative evening shoot with their wedding car provided by a good friend!
